In the angle of stature, personality, technical and athletic career to observe Charles Barkley, this special rival with superstar Michael Jordan,was born on February 20, 1963. In NBA history,he can definitely be called one of the most unusual bit star as Charles Barkley. In 1984, he and the “Airman” Jordan were selected to the NBA. Jordan was ranked third in the draft, and Buckley was fifth. But he was not that famous as Jordan.
Before the age of 15,he and his partners often do small wandering, living day to stir up troubles all day.At 15 years old, he began to practicing basketball with undivided attention. Although he was trained very hard, Buckley at sophomore was only 1.70 meters tall which is normal height among boys. To the third grade, Barkley was grew up to 1.85 meters, but still the school’s substitutes.
Buckley was not too high in high school and college, but he became the main school team with its excellent bounce and extraordinary power. But in 1984 U.S. Olympic men’s basketball selection of training, because of his 1.98 meters tall height,he was not chosen which gave him deep sorrow.BUt he was not gave up his basketball dream and strived for it till now.
